Assistant Shop Foreman –

United Pride Dairy is looking for a hard-working detail-oriented individual for an assistant Shop Foreman position. 

Duties include assisting the shop manager with the following:

· Daily Organization and Management of full and part time employees with conjunction with the shop foreman.

· Dealership Service Call Organization

· Parts Ordering and Organization

· Equipment maintenance and repairs ranging from tractors, large farm equipment, construction equipment, light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks and trailers.

· Heavy Truck experience with brake systems, engines, transmissions, tires, electrical and hydraulic systems preferred.

· Routine equipment maintenance.

· Coordination of vehicles into the shop for on-time and correct maintenance service.

· Detail orientated inspections of vehicles for maintenance issues including DOT annual inspections.

· In shop and field repairs as necessary.

· Equipment operation during busy seasons if desirable.

· Ability to work as a team to complete large projects and on individual tasks.

· Building and electrical repairs as needed.

· Paid On-call time.

Pay will be competitive based on experience.

 

Assistant Herdsperson  – This is a Full Time positions available for someone with experience with Dairy Cows.   

     Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor fresh cows daily, identify health concerns, and administer treatments as needed
  • Perform health checks and treatments on sick cows
  • Assist with difficult calvings and support maternity pen operations
  • Carry out scheduled vaccinations and health protocols
  • Move and sort cattle safely and efficiently
  • Perform AI breeding if experienced (training possible for the right candidate)
  • Assist with milking fresh and treated cows to ensure proper udder health and milk quality
  • Communicate effectively with the herdsman and other team members to maintain smooth daily operations
  • Follow farm protocols and maintain accurate records

Shop and Equipment Operator – would need to be an insurable driver with clean driving record and have mechanical knowledge.   Pay is competitive and negotiable based on experience.   We have part-time hours available for those looking to keep a little busy, or can give you more hours if that is what you need.    Come become part of the United Pride Family today.

Seasonal Semi Truck Drivers – would need to be an insurable driver with clean driving record.   Pay is competitive and negotiable based on experience.   We will be hiring for these positions in the spring but you can apply now if interested.  Our seasonal drivers will start driving when the road postings come off and will have seasonal work available into late fall.    We have part-time hours available for those looking to keep a little busy, or can give you more hours if that is what you need.    Some seasonal drivers have turned into full-time employees down the road.   Come become part of the United Pride Family today.

Milking Parlor  – Part time or Full Time positions available.    Must be able to stand for 8 hour shifts and willing to work some weekend shifts.   Shifts start at 6am, 2 pm, and 10pm.   We milk 24 hours a day / 365 days per year.   Come become part of the United Pride Family today.

     Duties include:

  • Prepare the milking equipment and tankers
  • Milks cows on a 60 cow stall rotary parlor (easiest way to milk cows)
  • Clean equipment and facilities after milking is complete
  • Work with Herdsman and managers in achieving the dairy’s goals of quality milk production and cow health

Calf Care – We are currently hiring for our calf care department taking care of our baby calves.   Part time or Full Time positions available.    This is a physically demanding job and must be willing to work some weekend shifts.   Shifts start at 5am and noon.   Come become part of the United Pride Family today.

  Duties include:

  • Work with replacement calves from birth through weaning.
  • Bottle feed newborn calves.
  • Monitor calf eating habits, and performance in automated feeding barn.
  • Feed grain and hay in weaned barns.
  • Monitor calf health in group pens.
  • Work with manager in administering vaccinations
  • Assist Manager in treating ill animals.
  • Track animal Growth
  • Conduct daily walk-through inspections of young stock barns at both main dairy and outlying facilities.
  • Monitor and clean feeding equipment, storage tanks, and auto-feeders on a set schedule.
